Why?
To provide your child with a foundation of bible knowledge in a safe, positive, loving environment.

Before bringing your child to Sunday School, you may want to head to the Bethlehem Library. New titles arrive frequently and there are thousands of selections for children and adults. The children's section is especially wonderful with storybooks, videos, tapes, and CD's. Our library is open seven days a week for members and non-members of the church in case you don't have time before Sunday School.
Our toddlers class is for children older than one who can handle sitting for a short lesson. We will use the Play-N-Worship curriculum where they'll toss bouncy balls in the air to make rain for Noah's Ark. They'll clang building blocks together to make thunder--and learn how God calms a storm. They'll hug & hold baby dolls--and hear about God's great care for them! Each Play-n-Worship lesson uses objects from toddlers and twos' everyday world--plus play, fun, stories, and songs.
Our preschoolers class is for children who have turned three by September 1 and are not yet in kindergarten. This class will use the Gospel Light curriculum in which children learn to recognize that the Bible is God’s Word and that God loves and cares for us. Each easy-to-use lesson will actively engage every child in the Bible story, and lead them to experience God’s love and know Jesus. Gospel Light also offers a variety of ways for teachers to link with parents, as kids build faith at home throughout the week.
When most of the elementary students children have arrived for Sunday School, they meet as a whole group (K-6) in the small worship area of our classroom. Children will share joys and concerns, pray the Lord's Prayer, collect offering, and enjoy a little time together before splitting into the grade level classes. For grades K-2 and 3-6, the teachers will teach lessons from a curriculum called Gospel Light. Grades K-2 curriculum focuses on learning to read and exploring Bible stories and verses that they are able to understand and recall. Grades 3-6 curriculum is based on 24 key Bible passages, where students discover what the Bible says about popularity, success, failure, friendship, rules and more. Kids develop Bible study skills, grow in Christian maturity and respond by serving Jesus in church and the community.

The children focus on what they can do to help the Earth that God has given to them, often times reusing materials to create craft projects. These are fun and important lessons for the children.
